Party Panic! Devlog: Bug Hunting, Game Improvements and More!

Hey Party Panic! fans,

Chris here!

Another week of development has passed and it has been filled with bug hunting and refining game details.

Bug Fixes in Spell Battle

In this week, I came across a major issue in Spell Battle where the game would not end correctly when the last two players died simultaneously. Sometimes, the game would miss the fact that no players were remaining and continue without anyone playing. To solve this, I reworked the system to check the player count more frequently and handle tied wins correctly when multiple players die at the same time.

Enhancements to Spell Battle

Continuing with the improvements, I have added animations, background music, and sound effects to Spell Battle. It's a step in the right direction, but there's more to be done to bring it to its full potential.

New Minigame Selection System

This week, I also developed a new system that allows players to choose and play a minigame directly. This feature provides a great way to test games during development and allows players to practice individual games as needed. There are a few bugs when a player presses buttons while the camera is moving, but I plan to iron these out before the end of this development sprint.

3D Menu and Main Board Decorations

To spruce things up, I've added decorations to the 3D menu and made additional layout adjustments to the main board area.

Stay tuned for more updates on Party Panic! development as we continue to fine-tune the game. Your support and feedback have been crucial in this journey.

Keep the party going!
